Help With Zara Radio Automation Scheduling

I've been running the Zara Radio automation system on Oldies Radio 1620 and have been pretty much satisfied with it. One issue I am having is the scheduling of programs that I wish to start running on it so I don't have to sit there. I schedule a program for say 10AM Saturday morning, fill out all the times/days/etc and get the item to show in the upcoming events window and it skips over it when it comes to the scheduled time (or close to it with the delay on)even though it will play when the file is brought up (its been coverted to an MP3 file). Hi Dave

We use Zara here to schedule various programs to run at specific times without any issues. Have you checked the path/location/name of the file on your PC that you're looking to play? If it's not correct in Zara, Zara will skip over it and revert back to the default playlist.

We use Zara Radio at Access America for all our syndicated and regular scheduled programming. It works like a charm! The IMS add-on is great for scheduling music if you need to select gender or tempo. In other words, it lets you schedule three fast songs, one slow song, etc. The "Random" or "Shuffle" feature in Zara is not made for that.

Here are some points to pay attention to:

1) As the previous poster pointed out, make sure you have the right file path.
2) Some audio files are protected. Right click on the audio file, go to Properties and see if your computer is "allowed" to play the file.
3) Check the settings in the Events list. Make sure you have the right time and date.
4) If it is important that the file plays, make sure you have High Priority and Immediate checked.
5) Make sure you have no other High Priority and Immediate files playing at the same time.

Hope this gives you some pointers to solve the problem.
