HELP!!!

Help folks, I need expertise!
I have A Marti RPU that works, but has a tremendous amount of noise even when
no antenna is connected. I have adjusted the squelch and still have the same
noise. Any ideas? Do I need to rip this thing apart?
Please email me with any suggestions at [email protected]
Thanks in advance for any advice

First you'll need to check that both the Tx and the Rx unit are on frequency.

If they are, then start looking for noise being generated in the RF front end of the receiver.

Not sure I understand. Is there noise when the unit is receiving a strong signal? If not, your squelch circuit has failed. Many stations leave the squelch open so the noise will be there to confirm that the receiver is turned on & (probably) ready to receive a signal. If this is your situation, you may not need to take any further action.

If you need to return a Marti for service, send it to SRS, 1501 N Main in Cleburne,TX. Much quicker & cheaper than BE who now owns Marti.

I agree with the SRS suggestion - I had them go through a set of Marti STL's and they were great, good price, and they sent the replaced parts back with the units.
