Kalil & Co Acquires Six Radio Stations
Brokerage firm Kalil & Co. announces the formation of a holding company that's acquiring six radio stations from Fort Bend Media Broadcasting and LaGrange Broadcasting Corporations.
Kalil Holding Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kalil & Co., is acquiring AC WBNZ/Soft Rock 99.3-Frankfort, MI; Classic Country KMBV/Lonestar FM)/Navasota, TX; Classic Country KEZB/Lonestar FM-Edna, TX; and Country trimulcast KTXM & KHLT-AM/Halletsville, TX and KYKM/Yoakum, TX (Texas Thunder Radio) from Fort Bend Media Broadcasting Co. and La Grange Broadcasting Corp. KALIL will turn around and offer the stations for sale after the conclusion of the deal.
 
Hard to imagine such an experienced broadcaster could run into such a string of bad luck.
 
how about stations in thorndale klgo 99.3 and cameron knvr 105.1 (which the cameron station is trying to move in closer to austin) are they up for sale? i believe there's one or two in victoria.
 
Yes, there is one in Victoria. KULF- 104.7 (Lonestar FM). It is not up for sale. Hopefully one day it will be.

Also 99.7 KROY in Bay City is not on the sale list.(notice the call letters, what an ego!) It's a shame to see what has happened with that station too.
 
Neither. Just work in radio in this general area. Sad to see good stations get squandered. With prevenitive maintenance and a little TLC those stations could be a true service to the communities they serve.

In a funny irony the ad at the top of this webpage is "Creating Powerful Radio", maybe someone should check it out before he.... destroys .... ER UM I mean buys another station?
 
How is KNRG doing? I enjoyed that station coming back from Houston it had a better playlist than the arrow did.
