Hendrie on WHLO

Wow. I thought Coast to Coast AM was granted immunity on Clear Channel owned stations, but I was surprised to learn Phil Hendrie (syndicated by TRN-FM, formerly by Premiere) had taken the place of George Noory's edition of Coast to Coast. Now the station has three TRN personalities, two Premiere, one Citadel, one self-syndicated (Rollye James), and a morning show canned from WPGB in Pittsburgh.

The move makes sense. You can hear George on WTAM loud and clear in the footprint of WHLO. You can also catch Noory on WKBN in Y-Town. I'm suprised that WHLO held onto coast this long. I wonder if we'll see WHLO dump Rush down the road?

Hendrie is insanely talented. I don't think the talk world quite knew what to do with him.. "Hm.. Rush.. Hannity.. Savage.. Hendrie...". He's a blob of mercury in a very square hole, if you know what I mean.

Wow...I too was happy to hear Hendry on WHLO. I get up for work at 3am and was quite tired of hearing the 'black helocopter' genre of Noory's show. PH is quite talented and his bits are hilarious (although they tend to get repititious and too lengthy). Hooray, WHLO. (Now if they can just find another home (market) for their ND, Tom Doreski, I would be very pleased)
