Herald blog: WEEI's Sox Wednesdays

http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/messengerBlog/?p=268

"Starting April 4, WEEI is branding the middle of the week “Red Sox Wednesday.” The whole day, parent company Entercom Communications claims, will be all-Sox-all-the-time."

WEEI will carry the Red Sox on Wednesday nights. The focus will be Sox exclusively on WEEI...Jerry Remy
will join D&C, Terry Francona will appear Wednesdays on Dale and Holley, and a Sox player will appear
on THE Big Show with Mr. Yer Makin' My Point, etc.

"Also, Mike Adams will host a new call-in show called “Red Sox On Deck” on game nights at 6 p.m."

(note that ESPN Boston is doing something similar)

they really should have just kept it on one station or the other... also, they're going to run Mike Adams simultaneously with the Sox b'cast? He'll be the loneliest man in radio... well, maybe.

An announcement on Howie's page of the WRKO site says that today's game and the Apr 10 home opener
will be on WRKO; other afternoon games (and Wed. nights) will be on WEEI. Also regularly Howie's show
will end on WRKO (and WCRN and WXTK-FM) at 6:30 pm when there is a 7 pm Sox game due to pregame
(show will continue on webstream and a couple other stations during those times)

How could this be true? Just the other day I read on the SaveWRKO site that

....Now, however, longstanding suspicions that these moves are part of a ideologically-based campaign to undermine WRKO's conservative image have been reinforced.....

Think they got confused and are trying to ideologically undermine The Big Show?

They hate to have to pre-empt the Big Show for Sox afternoon games but listeners weren't crazy about Rush and Howie getting pre-empted several times during spring training, and also today's game and the Apr 10 game.
As it is, Howie will be losing his last half hr often due to Sox pre-games.
