Herald: Cuts feared at Entercom Boston

Here's what they'll do-they'll fire all the talent on WRKO and WEEI and become 24/7 brokered time stations. They can run syndicated news and/or sports in the drive times and devote the rest of their day to ethnic programming, as well as paid advertisements. Mike 93.7 will go all-Spanish and WAAF will go all urban 24/7 with WKAF switching to classic soul and rhythm and blues, with gopsel music from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.(Midnight until 5 a.m. on Saturday nights) and 24 hours on Sunday.
I'll bet that Brother Andre may have some air time on either or both of those latter stations.

LOL !!!!! Now that will Shock The Boston Folks !! WEEI Gone, I dont like that but A Spanish-FM and 2 Urban FM stations in Boston sounds good to me . But its not going to happen.

How about moving WEEI to 680, and either start a new station or put talk on 850 instead. Keep the FM's the same, but consider options on what to do with them in the future. Thats my take, posting rather blindly.

Enjoyed the off-topic Third Phone posts, for reasons obvious. Third phone w/endorsement, tight board, no floater. Good references. Northeast preferred. Blind box #C327. -Broadcasting Magazine.
