Herald: Finneran loses a half hour, gains Feinburg

And nothing of value was lost. How much longer does this bum have on his contract?

Maybe if they take his show away a half-hour at a time, he won't notice. He is a criminal, after all, and not entirely focused on small matters.

The article in the Herald which said at one point that Leveille, etc., were gone mentioned the poor
ratings Finneran was getting, but Heslam also quoted an Entercom press release in a recent Messenger Blog
and Entercom claims that TF went from 14th to 6th in men 35-64

Indeed, while WRKO had said TF had gained among 35-64, it has "tanked" in 25-64 though
http://www.bostonherald.com/busines...&format=&page=2&listingType=media#articleFull
"Since his 2007 debut, Finneran’s show has floundered in 16th, 15th, 14th and even 18th place in that demographic."

It all depends on what demo you're looking at; Entercom may be putting a shine on a sneaker here.

Wow, didn't know that! I was going by the Herald's saying that he was losing a half hour--time wise,
yes, but if he has one half hour as a rewind on top of that--well, only three hours of a show to do.
Nice work if you can get it Mistah Speakah, in the dreaded private sectah! :)

D&C have a half hour rewind at 5:30. Imus has a full hour rewind at 5.

The RKO site though says "The guys will also help get your morning started earlier as Tom and Todd will be on the air LIVE beginning at at 5:30am!"
Live, or memorex?

Jessica likes to spin Howie's tales because he is still so pissed off at the management that he'll just push down any garbage thru his paper and make it look like Entercom is a bunch of dummies. That's open to a debate. He's a bigger dummy because he still works for and gets paid by them.

Looking at the big picture. Think of WRKO and WEEI as one. That's how Entercom is selling them. Don't look at the formats. Look at the demos. Both combined they smack WTKK or WBZ around in 25-54. Even with Finneran taking small scraps away from Imus or WBZ News during the breakfast commute, after you add that to the big equation with D+C and that's not even a race. As far as Finneran's bosses go, they're smarter than they appear. He's doing his job. Of course, he can do it better but so can everyone else.

Well Heslam also did print 'RKO's press release talking about how he's gone up in certain demoes
(on their site & poss. in paper too).

>>Both combined they smack WTKK or WBZ around in 25-54.

I haven't seen those numbers. I do know WRKO was suffering in many slots for awhile in the ratings
(Howie and Rush did OK though), and not sure how well they bill. RKO of course does have the Sox
so even if they do have only 2 local shows weekdays, they can still make a bit of money! Of course
maybe Entercom did pay too much for Sox rights and RKO had to cut corners--eliminating the late
morning show; laying off the news staff, etc., to help balance the books
