Herald Gets New Media Writer

When Dean Johnson left the Boston Herald several months ago, most stories about radio appeared in the business section. Now Mark Jurkowitz reports that the Herald has added a media scribe named Jessica Heslam, who will cover TV, Radio and the blogosphere. She, apparently, will be a Herald staff member...Clea Simon remains a Globe correspondent.

I think she does Traffic on WRKO as well.

Well lets hope to Christ she does a better job than Clea Simon and Dean Johnson who are barely able to read press releases and at most show up to kiss butt luncheons on PD's chits. I've never seen such pathetic radio reporting in a major market in my life.

Jessica Heslam is already a Herald staff member. She has been writing for the Herald for some time now and is being given a new "beat".

Dean Johnson was one of the writers bought out and let go by the Boston Herald. Both papers have cut some big names in the last year.
