Jessica Heslam promotes, er, talks about Charley Manning's new show. Manning is planning to have guests on from both sides of political aisle (in this state, finding those on the Left will not be a problem!) Meanwhile...
Fybush mentioned that 1200 was rushed to the air, ahead of its 4/1 planned debut--hence the lack of a morning show to be announced...
---one factor could be that they want to get going, build up audience, now (and hey, later sunsets are
a week away)
--but I wonder what exactly happened with Premiere and RKO...supp. Rush's contract was to end in 2012 or
was it to end this yr? Did Premiere tell RKO they could keep Rush only if they paid an increased fee, and
Entercom balked? Would CC have said, "OK, RKO can keep running Rush for another year or two..we'll put in
some syndie guy who isn't as good as a placeholder for now"? Nope, CC has pulled Rush from stations before to place on their own properties.
Someone on Free Republic down in Charlotte said "be glad for what you got"--they have stuff like Hannity
on WBCN AM 1660, all of 1,000 watts (Rush is on WBT)--tough to pick up. So for all the complaints about
1200's signal (and it IS much improved from the Framingham days), it could be worse.
Anyone know exactly what situation was between RKO and CC? And...does RKO lose the Premiere-
syndicated Fox News at top of hour now? Or did Premiere say, yeah, you can keep that, at least...
