Herald: Ordway to EEI in 15?

http://www.bostonherald.com/inside_track/the_inside_track/2014/11/glenn_ordway_eei_return_in_works

.>>Glenn Ordway and Entercom Boston boss Phil Zachary have met on “three or four occasions,” to discuss Ordway’s return to WEEI and both are “open to the appropriate opportunity,” Zachary said, but he denied there’s an agreement in place for Ordway’s triumphant return to the station
that he called home for
27 years...But we hear Ordway could be back on the air early next year, teamed up for a new “Big Show” with the just-hired Jerry Thornton, and “a revolving cast of third men in.”

so weei will live in the past i assume and move dale and holly back to 10-2? not sure when d&cs contract is up.

D&C got 5 yr deals around Sept of 07. In 2012 they got renewed to what was called a multiyear deal but they wouldn't be specific...2 or 3? A post on Media
Confidential in Aug of '13 said they had about a yr left on their contract
http://www.mediaconfidential.blogspot.com/2013/08/boston-radio-kevin-graham-new-pd-at-weei.html

>>However, both Dennis and Callahan have a year remaining on their contracts and the station’s move last February to dump longtime afternoon drive host Glenn Ordway didn’t do anything to improve numbers.

If so that means the deal would have maybe ended a couple months back but I have a hunch it was a 3 yr deal...trying to find out.

D&C renewed in August and September of this year. The length wasn't specified but it was worded that they'd be on "well into the later part of this decade."

I miss Norma Nathan's gossip column in the Herald, where she would print out all the details of someone's new contract (whether they were true or not!) ;-)

Norm and Norma were the 2 greatest people to ever live. I miss them every day. Norm was not the same after she passed.

http://www.bostonradiowatch.com reminds up about the rumblings of an Ordway return to PMD on WEEI (and note what he says about contracts...) , and also that this winter Entercom has to decide whether or
not to pick up the option for Sox rights in '17 and '18

btw for the above link http://bostonradiowatch.com works but http://www.bostonradiowatch.com doesn't but your mileage may vary...
(oops, now both work... maybe it was my cache)

What kind of payment will the Sox get for those upcoming years? If Entercom doesn't want option (doubtful),
Would CBS have room for them, what with 4 other teams (Revs included) already on board 98.5?
Would another company try for rights and maybe do "a music station but with the Sox"?
Greater? (WROR, etc) iHeart? (Sox on 94.5, 107.9, or the weak 101.7?--ha, no way...) or CBS but isolated
to a WZLX or something (Naaah...) I'd expect a re-up with Entercom but not for the huge dollars spent around '06 (That contract started in 07 with RKO as flagship--2007 World Champ bumper stickers had the WRKO logo-- but EEI quickly became flagship again once
Sports Hub showed up in 09, and Ent. took EEI to FM here in town two years later...)

I could see The Sox fitting on Bloomberg.

Dale and Holley have seen vast increases in their M25-54 numbers, they're performing very well. Why would they blow the show up? Not happening.
