Herald Radio on WCRN to be expanding?

Tom Shattuck wrote a column in today's Boston Herald about Herald Radio's Morning Meeting now being carried by WCRN from 10 a.m. - Noon.

They also carried the election coverage from Herald Radio this past Tuesday. It marked the 1st time in years that WCRN's Hank Stolz and Sherman Whitman weren't involved in the station's election coverage.

WCRN GM Kurt Carberry said "look for bigger and better things for WCRN and Boston Herald Radio in the weeks to come. He added, "I believe this is the first step in our relationship, and hope to expand our on-air coverage to bring more Boston Herald news, and business reporting and discussion throughout New England."

I can see the Dennis Miller show being dropped for more simulcasting with Herald Radio and perhaps, if Howie goes to Herald Radio in PM Drive along with a network of stations throughout New England, I can see WCRN being his flagship terrestrial home. That is probably the "real" reason behind them leaving DT Worcester for new studios in Westborough.

On Friday afternoon just before 3 pm Herald Radio was on instead of Dennis Miller. The Dennis Miller show may already be gone. I'll have to listen again on Monday to confirm.
