Herald: Rush v. Fox and local talkers

I recall the anonymous posters on this board in its previous incarnation attacking anyone who dared question Rush Limbaugh's alleged deafness.

Once the connection between Oxycontin abuse and deafness and Rush was made they all went silent. No apologies to anyone, they just went back into their troll-that-lurks mode.

Limbaugh is just doing here what he did with Donovan McNabb - he realizes what he is doing.
The only time he didn't like it was mea culpa time regarding his drug abuse. Whenver Rush says something
awkward and dumb it is intentional - to get people yapping. Would be nice if Enterscamm gave him the boot as the TV conglomerate did, but don't hold your breath.

man, you're effin naive...yea, so he was overacting a bit. mjf is an effin actor, after all.

Rush Limbaugh's attack on MJF and his Parkinson's reflects a gross unawareness of the disease.
Does Limbaugh really think the actor would go that far to support a cause, any cause, by forcing himself to shimmy and shake like that?
This speaks to how ugly the partisan political mood has become. In his Rush to judgement, Limbaugh sounds like he's trying to make the world safer for innocent stem cell lines everywhere, before evil mad scientists can experiment with them and (God forbid) possibly find something that could help cure a disease, which would benefit all of us.
 
we have to assume that Rush was being stupid just to be talked about, don't we?
 
that's exactly what he did Johnwas5, he says the intentional hot potato for attention. Unacceptable behavior from a grown man. Michael J. Fox is an ok actor in a nasty business. Did he deserve this?

Which is why I'm saying that if Rush is questioning whether Fox was "acting" in those spots, then we oughta question whether or not Rush was really "deaf" (as a result of Oxys) or whether he was doing a publicity
stunt. Rush left himself wide open with that one. If Rush will give Fox the benefit of the doubt, as he should, then we should respond in kind to the was-he-deaf-or-not question (and back off from questioning it). Be aware btw that people like me who occasionally listen to Rush are not necessarily ditto-heads. We may disagree with him, make fun of him (like my Talent On Loan From Oxys comment),etc.; not everybody is perfect, and the man who has proven to be the most-listened to poli-talk show host is also subject to flaws.

(Insert the clip of Rush saying, "DOCTOR shopping?" that Howie plays on occasion here. I guess this means
that Madonna was BABY-shopping? :))
 
I agree with Mickey 37. Also:

In the days after he said it, people who either have the disease or know someone who does have called
in to Rush and enlightened him on the condition...

to say nothing of the fact that he was seen on the video of the TV show mocking Fox's physical tremors.

He's playing to the hate base, pure and simple... they have to be mobilized because they're the last chance the Republicans have...

The hate base...like Randi Rhodes calling for the President to be shot, or Mike Malloy, or Ward Churchill
(called 9/11 victims "little Eichmanns"), or the lib blog that put Lieberman in blackface, or the ones who
send racist hate mail to Michelle Malkin, or...
 
If we count how many times the peanut gallery have agreed with me and keep saying "Pigs have flown once" we wouldn't have enough time to read Casablanca's anti-WRKO posts ! Or respond and agree with him!
 
You're going to be on our side a LOT more with a Democratic Governor of Massachusetts, and the Democrats in control of both houses of Congress. Otherwise we'll tap YOUR phones for a change and send all your favorite dictators...i mean...politicians...to Guantanamo... almost makes you wish the Moderators would allow the alleged "mod" from Brand Board X on this board so we can ...gloat.
