Herald: Severin, now syndie, calls Howie top dog

http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=130913

Jessica Haslam:
"Controversial radio host Jay Severin says Bay State Gov. Mitt Romney would make a 'great president' and admits that former rival Howie Carr is the most influential voice on Boston radio. 'To be honest, I’d have to say Howie, now that I’m in a different time slot. There’s no question that Howie’s the big dog in local Boston radio,' Severin told the Herald during a trip to the Hub. 'He’s a Boston legend.'

"As for Severin’s on-air bachelor persona, don’t let that fool you, Severin actually yuks it up in a barn-turned-state-of-the-art studio near his Sag Harbor, N.Y., home where he lives with his wife and child. “I’m a country mouse,” said the New York City native."

By the way, WPRO runs Jay on Sunday nights. Somebody noted that their webpage
links to jayseverin.org which is either an anti-Severin site or a "Severin
watchdog" site depending on one's point of view.<P ID="signature">______________

Funny ...

the other day, Severin made a point of saying that he had higher ratings than Howie when they were on at the same time in Boston. Then he said that you never hear Howie's name in the media, even though Howie's name is being mentioned regularly all over the place because of the book.
