The morning and afternoon shows that I avoid (sooooo boring). No big loss either way I guess.

Had the judge's decision been different, 'TKK would have had Howie Carr mornings. By a strange stroke
of luck, Imus wound up going back on with a national show anyway and they picked him back up.

I remember hearing Severin on Imus back in the days when he was still pretending to be in Boston but was really on Long Island. It was during the days when Jane Swift was still our governor. I don't remember the exact Swift event that was making the news back then but it was a big story up here. Imus knew enough to ask Severin about the situation at which point Jay replied, "How the hell should I know?"

Being that Imus' ratings aren't what they were, can you blame Jay for wanting more beauty sleep?

I forecast this when Graham became a semi-reg in the I' rotation. Not a big enough station for both of them type of thing.
I've heard Imus insult Doris Kearns, and he killed Tom Brokaw yesterday. So Severino's protestations sound a bit weak. You know what you are getting. You either role with things --plenty do-- or you get out. Jay joins Cokie Roberts,the Newsweek staff, and over-the-hill Tom who also say no mas.

I've heard Severin's analysis enough to know he's a ****** anyway.
No loss to the Imus show, it's actually a gain.
Anytime he was on, I flipped to something else on the dial.
I do wish Karith, Tony and Rob were more involved in the conversation though.
They get to feature a piece they write everyday, but more would be better.
They're good talents.
