Herald: Ted Sarandis running for Gov. Council

http://news.bostonherald.com/localPolitics/view.bg?articleid=141539"After ruling Ted Nation for more than a decade, former sports radio jockey Ted Sarandis wants a return to power. Instead of the airwaves, though, the former host of WEEI’s Ted Nation aspires to ascend to a seat on the Governor’s Council, the somewhat obscure elected board that approves judicial nominations."Angered by the state high court decision legalizing gay marriage and upset at what he sees as an overly politicized judiciary, Sarandis, 50, is using a lull in his broadcasting career to make his first run for office. He filed nomination papers with the Secretary of State’s office in time for yesterday’s deadline."

Had to laugh at a couple comments on this by "Beaker" on the Boston Sports Media board:"Ray from Lynn can advise Ted on the lower court judges he should be keeping his eye on. 'Teddy, there’s a magistrate in the Dracut District Court who’s handling traffic cases right now. I’ve only seen him a couple of times, but I hear he’s processing 80 to 90 cases an hour. Good presence, good poise. In a couple of years, he could really blossom into something special. Someone worth watching.' "

Ted Sarandis ruined his once great sports show with Politics. When VB was gloating that the Bombs were dropping on Iraq his buddy Ted came into the RKO studios and insulted his (Ted Nation's) own fan base. These people are down a few quarts. Ted Sarandis to approve who gets to judge in this state? What are his qualifications? College Sports??? These Republican whackos think they are rocket scientiststoo. He got fired from a sports job and wants to go into politics! How about having Howie Carr do60 Minutes? It's that much of a stretch. The Brother's BulgerAmazon.com Sales Rank: #2,895Hey, Raccoon, that's only 2,885 away from the Top 10! Way to go Howie!

The Whiner Line was funny yesterday with jabs about Sarandis' run; he's gonna work on getting a retractabledome for Fenway; in his judicial approvals if elected, he'll "comb over" (combover) them... his fave number is8, ("8 year terms") etc.>>Ted Sarandis ruined his once great sports show with Politics. So to paraphrase Laura Ingraham, "Shut Up And Talk Sports"...>>He got fired from a sports job and wants to go into politics!Meanwhile 'RKO has aired shows with Ray Flynn, Marge Clapprood, and Peter Blute in the past. (And Mittfilling in for Howie's last hour...) Mario Cuomo and Jesse Jackson have done talk shows. Al Franken mayrun for Senate.>>Way to go Howie! It was in the top 30 if not top 10 when it first came out. It was even #1 on the Globe's list at one point(based on sales from local stores). At a Barnes and Noble (Coolidge Corner) I didn't see too many copies though they did have the book on tape version (and when there I bought a book on CD version ofBernie Goldberg's "100 people who are screwing up America", read by Goldberg himself. Why didn'tHowie's publisher have _him_ read the Brothers Bulger book-on-tape version?)_

The Governor's Council is the last bastion of failed or "neverwhere" politicos. Apparently, Saradis wants to fade into complete oblivion.

GET OUT! Another conservative Entercom Boston talk personality withh delusions of grandeur?. ::) This is a bad idea on so many levels, then again he could just get in there, people in general are such star F'ers especailly in the poiltical game. Would MItt Romney be taken seriously on any level when he said he wanted to run for president without having served even a full term as Gov if not? he's got one thing that most of the other republicans for 08 do not, he LOOKS "presidential" I rest my case.

And the rest of the Governor’s Council is qualified how? That's the beauty of America; any jackass can run for office. As a matter of fact, that might be one of the qualifications. This too shall pass.
