Herald Track on Severin ('TKK exclusive negotiator?)

Today's Inside Track in the Herald talks about the Severin matter and said that according to their "spies", WTKK/Greater Media has exclusive rights to
negotiate with him, till the end of the year at least...and that while 'BZ desires him for the early evening
slot, 'TKK is doing all they can to keep him. Word has it that the new show will be "based in Boston". Yeah, and the Yankees are based in Boston, too...

That could be true. On two separate occasions I heard Jay tell a caller who called from Marblehead that he had an interest in looking at property in that area.. Could Jay be contemplating a move from Sag Harbor to the rocky coast of Marblehead??

yea, he's probably house hunting this week for a mansion on the Neck
with a radio studio in a big barn.

Yes Im sure there is a glut of those on the north shore real estate market. LOL

More than likely they are keeping him off air while they negotiate because if they do not re sign him would they want him on air crowing about his Infinity national syndication deal? especially when the show will remian in Boston on a competing station?. WHAT COMPANY WOULD EVER BE DUMB ENOUGH TO EVER LET THAT HAPPEN?.

......never mind

Isn't the Infinity syndication gig a done deal kicking off in January? I thought I read that only question left was whether he would do both (TKK and syndication deal).

it isn't a Westwood One syndie deal, it's a promise to put Severin on a few Infinity outlets. not like nationwide syndication.

Yes it is but if they still own his contract they can keep him off the air until they have a deal in place with him, or if they dont make one and he's put on an Infinity staton wbz or wherever they can keep him off the air till years end hoping that he's forgotten about. Remember Opie and Anthony's last two years at Infinity?. It would make sense because outside of Severin that station has nothing, Imus not really killing, Oreilly, etc.

TKK does have ONE great show: Handel on the Law! Luckily KFI streams Bill's Mon-Fri morning show too.
