There have been some discussions about journalism.....Flo Jonic seems to follow some of the old journalistic standards eroded by the lassiez faire attitudes of the current media....her lashout was wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if her story was right on target...

This administration only knows two things (duck or cover-up) when it comes to the truth....the FBI has demonstrated several flaws in the past few years....so im not surprised to see them ask to have this story killed....

WBZ should have tried to sit down with the FBI and Jonic and establish the absoulte details as to the accuracy and the content of her story...but instead of doing that WBZ caved...and Jonic did a meltdown....giving WBZ an opportunity to end her employment...

Come to AAR, Flo....they could use a good solid fact-checking journalist with the "moxie" to deliver the goods...

now ill have to go to the globe to get a more detailed story if available...

The CC'ing a memo to management to all newsroom employees was a less than swift move. One can only guess what she was trying to accomplish with that stunt. According to the story, this was not the first time she'd gone into the "loose cannon" mode. It seems to me that having a story killed or "held for later publication" is a fact of life that reporters have to deal with...frustrating maybe but there may have been reasons we don't know about for this action.

I'm not sure that a broadcast reporter having AAR on their resume is any better a career move than a print reporter having a tabloid on theirs.
