Herald's Joe Fitzgerald: WTKK could use black host like Myers

http://news.bostonherald.com/columnists/view.bg?articleid=175878

"..in a town and state so neurotically absorbed with diversity, it’s hard to imagine blacks being consigned to the back of the conversational bus. And it’s harder still to imagine that community’s compliance, especially when it has a proven performer like Jimmy Myers who knows this city and its history better than Jay Severin, Michael Graham and Bill O’Reilly combined; indeed, he’s experienced it."

Myers has been filling in for Michael Graham as Graham, in turn, filled in for Jay Severin.

Boston can use anything thats Black on the Radio Dial . Radio Stations here in Boston is just like State of Montana Radio Stations .

That's because the Black audience in both states is about the same size; neglidgable.

Jimmy Myers does a good job and deserves more air time. He's a veteran, a true Bostonian with a deep understanding of the city and the state, and an exuberant host - always high energy. He can do sports talk and news talk. Of all of these positive attributes, what is the attribute that gets noted the most?... his color, what else?

He doesn't need a black audience, even if it were true that audience is "neglidgable," which is doubtful. His appeal is not so restrictive.

Here's hoping he catches on with a permanent shift somewhere.
