Herb Carneal To Return For 2006 Twins' Broadcasts

Longtime Minnesota Twins' play-by-play man Herb Carneal will be back to call the team's games in 2006 over WCCO-830 according to this report from Radio and Records.com.

I did notice one typo in the story: The article claimed that 2006 would be Carneal's 51st year of calling Twins' games. The Twins have only been in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area since 1961, so 2006 is the team's 46th year in existance. Likely, Carneal either did games of another major-league team from 1956 through 1960, or called minor-league games in the Twin Cities from 1956 through 1960 and got the Twins' job when the team came into being in 1961.
