C’mon Hornet, we’ve done this every year, do we have to do it again? This early? It’s only three days past Labor Day. When do we start next year, on the 5th of July?

OK, I’ll play:

Run Rudoph Run – Chuck Berry (already mentioned, but a favorite)
Louisiana Christmas Day – Aaron Neville
Pretty Paper – Willie Nelson or Freddie Fender
"I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus", the original recording by Jimmy Boyd reached number one on the Billboard charts in 1952, and on the Cash Box magazine chart Jan 3, 1953.

Who will be the first to mention the Chipmunks?

Not me.

Oops...

... only 105 Days, 20 Hours, 10 Minutes, and 19 Seconds! to air time
yes it is a little early, but, I am compiling this list for local airplay and it takes time to find the rare ones, that will evetually make it to the list,, and I am also mentioning the requestor. When I do something on the Air I go all out or I don't do It. Thats why I marvel at the Programs like" Time Warp" and "Hits of yesteryear" that are creative, concise and do their homework. The contribtors on radio-info are more knowledgeable and creative than anyone I know that is why I come to them for input.......continuing:
chanukah song - adam sandler
marys boy child - harry belafonte
santa claus is coming to town - bruce springsteen
... only 105 Days, 20 Hours, 8 Minutes, and 10 Seconds! to air time.

Play Adam Sandler's Thanksgiving turkey song! It's hilarious! I don't know the exact title of it, but you should know what I am referring to. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year, because it is one of the few holidays that have not (yet!) been corrupted by crass commercialism!

Not a Christmas song, you say? No, but Christmas always seems to overrun Thanksgiving; I say let's give Thanksgiving some equal time, and let Thanksgiving overtake Christmas, for a change!

At the rate we are going I may have to Include the "Thanksgiving Song" from Sandlers CD "They Are All Gonna Laugh At You".

All I Want For Chrismas Is You - Vince Vance and the Valiants.
Holly Jolly Christmas - Alan Jackson
Jingle Bell Rock - Chubby Checker and Bobby Rydell

Merry Christmas, Baby – Chuck Berry
O Holy Night – Reba McIntire
Redneck 12 Days Of Christmas – Jeff Foxworthy

The Christmas Song – Nat Cole

Jingle Bell Rock – Bobby Helms (1957); Brenda Lee (1964).

A little trivia: Bill Haley and his Comets recorded a cover version of Jingle Bell Rock for United Artists in 1968, which was to be released as a seasonal single. UA decided not to release the recording, and it was considered lost for nearly 30 years until it was finally issued in the mid-1990s.
