Here comes Santa Claus...The Christmas Songs.

Do they know It's Christmas - Band Aid

I have one more reunion to do this week-end and I am done for the year ...I can start compiling the list from the suggestions so far, thanks to all, I will list an update soon and see what our count is. I still plan on doing a year end show with this list locally. Thanks again and keep them coming.

Strange song venting bitterness against the rest of the world for the starvation, disease and hardship in Africa, and telling us that there won't be snow in Africa for Christmas.

Mary's Boy Child - Little River Band

Silent Night by Huey "Piano" Smith and The Clowns (My wife gets so mad when I play this version on our CD player, so I have to play it when she's not home).

Merry Christmas Darling (and a Happy New Year too) by The Uniques.

White Christmas by The Statues (tough call between this one and The Drifters

Who Said There Ain't No Santa Claus- Ron Holden (Christmas and Capital Punishment will never be same)

Winter Wonderland by The Blue Notes

There are so many to count and list, but this is a start.

Great musical arrangement, crap lyrics. It's in the regular Christmas lineups though.

I Want A Beatle For Christmas - Becky Lee Beck
The Christmas Holiday - The Blackwells

I commend for your absolute listening enjoyment:

Sleigh Ride - Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass (the first time I heard it years ago on XTRA out of Washington, DC, I went out and bought it).

and

Jingle Bell Rock - Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass (not on the radio, but on the same CD - outstanding!)

The CD has been a hit at any Christmas party I ever had, and is also in a lot of homes now.

Dear Santa/ Christmas Wedding Day - Judy Brown
Santa! Don’t Pass Me By - Jimmy Donley

Hey Santa Claus - The Moonglows
Mambo Santa Mambo - The Enchanters

i need to start doing a recap.....gonna be a challenge to find some of these, these are super, no cookie cutter songs for this show, its gonna be a good one . i will try and post a recap real soon, keep em coming. Where did I store my Dr Dimento stuff, and my doo-wop christmas, and my Time life Xmas stuff.

Well, okay, I have waited through six pages, and doggoned if Scott Shannon wasn't right a couple of years ago. Nobody has once mentioned,

Christmas Just Ain't Christmas (Without The One You Love) - The O'Jays

Got a late christmas preset last year when someone sent me a stereo sync-up of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" from Judy Garland. The sync up source is the optical soundtrack to this 1946 film which believe it or not was recorded stereo!
