Here comes Townsquare, this will be interesting to watch!!

Things are all about to change in the land of Milli....

The crown jewel in the 10-station group is News-Talk WKXW-FM Trenton, which makes its living via its focus on news pertinent to the state.

There are five stations in Atlantic City: WSJO-FM 104.9 Egg Harbor City and ESPN WENJ-FM 97.3 Millville. Three are licensed to Atlantic City: ESPN DePortes WENJ-AM 1450, Cat Country WPUR-FM 107.3 and Lite Rock WFPG-FM 96.9.

Four more are located in the Monmouth-Ocean market, including The Point WJLK-FM 94.3 and Good Time Oldies WADB-AM 1310 in Asbury Park, Soft Rock WOBM-FM Toms River, Good Time Oldies WOBM-AM 1160 Lakewood Township, Classic Rock Hawk WCHR-FM 105.7 Manahawkin.

They're actually a well-run company. Based nearby in Connecticut. I know people who work there, and they're happy.

Will it now be "The Townsquare Radio News Network"? Does Townsquare leave WKXW alone or do they go to a hard news/talk format? That could depend on what 101.9 New York does.

We'll see! :)

why not ask her??

Townsquare/Flint GM Burdine-Fly to Head NJ Outlets:

Townsquare Media/Flint, MI, General Manager Zoe Burdine-Fly will move to New Jersey to oversee eleven recently-acquired Millenium radio outlets.

She replaces former Millennium President/CEO Bill Sauer, who will continue as a consultant on an interim basis. Before rising to GM in December, 2004, Burdine-Fly was Director of Sales for the company's six-station cluster in Flint.

NJ 101.5 has already been pulled from the TuneIn Radio app. Naturally, Townsquare has their own, mediocre app called RadioPup. Thankfully, it's still better than NJ 101.5's "official" app, which hasn't seen an update in a few years now.

Even though there is a lot of hype and promise with on-line listening, the majority of listeners don't have the time, aggravation, or technical expertise to tune in on-line.

That will change, but as long as the conditions exist, OTA will rule the radio roost.

Remember, it is all about sales.

The last think I want on my phone is another bloated walled garden POS app on my smartphone. TuneIn is the best radio app, period.
