Here We Go Again: Sinclair Vs. Dish

This just can't keep happening.

The first I heard about this was in the Asheville Citizen-Times. I can only read the headline without paying or reducing the number of additional articles I can read online, but here's what's true. The station there is on VHF, which is bad enough, and mountains cause significant problems with the signal, so forget over-the-air. And of course if you don't live where you can get cable, then a dish is your only option. Which means this will affect a lot of people.

I get two Sinclair stations over-the-air but they're not on my ... oh, I don't have a dish. This wouldn't affect me this time anyway.

I have a dish (note capitalisation--that's a hint) but these things don't affect me even the least bit. Too bad more people aren't as clueful.

Well, it's Thursday - are Sinclair's stations yanked yet? I can't find any confirmation...

I have question for Dish Network customers in markets with stations owned or operated by the Sinclair Broadcast Group: did any of you lose programming from those stations through Dish Network briefly?

According to WEAR-TV in Pensacola, Florida, Dish Network did not stop providing their programming after the deadline.
