Here We Go Again: Tribune Vs. Cablevision

A friend in Meriden, CT, a city served by Cox Communications, said he lost WPIX-TV last night. WCCT-TV and WTIC-TV are still there.

I don't know who to blame for this but why wouldn't a company bundle all of its stations together? Is this on Tribune for daring have separate contracts or Cablevision for allowing it to happen?

Companies do this all-the-time within the same market. I suppose it's possible it could be illegal to bundle them across markets, but that seems a little weird to me, too. Maybe someone a little more familiar with retrans consent could shed a little light on the subject?
