Here we go again...

According to The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, this was done to "write out" the Million Dollar Giveaway. The injury will supposedly make people forget about the contest.

Why?

So, I take it that WWE ran a contest, and now doesn't want to give away what they promised?

AAARGH!

It's bad enough he screwed up all of his tv shows with his silly draft, now he's faking ANOTHER INJURY?

Even Hulk Hogan says enough is enough brother.

Trading JR & Triple H to Smackdown was wrong man, wrong.

No, they gave away 3M dollars already

Your displeasure is understandable, but there are reasons for these changes.

According to several wrestling websites, the WWE creative team felt that many of the storylines and feuds were getting stale, and some fresh, new angles were needed. The annual draft's actual purpose is to provide the writing team, presently headed by Stephanie McMahon, new ideas to keep things flowing.

At a recent shareholders meeting, several stockholders expressed displeasure with Vince McMahon over the Vickie Guerrero/Edge storyline and it's present direction, and the length of time that it's taking. McMahon lightly hinted that the storyline would be ending soon, and in his words, "...not in the way you might think it would end." Stay tuned, I guess.

With Smackdown! soon moving to MyNetworkTV soon, it was felt that adding JR and Triple H to the brand would strengthen it, give it more credibility, and add viewers that Smackdown! wasn't normally getting while it aired on the CW. The WWE was trying to think ahead.

I imagine a year from now, Triple H & JR will be back on Raw, the stronger WWE brand.

And what did Armando Estrada do to get buried on ECW? I'm thinking he shows up on Smackdown to replace Vickie G, or maybe pairs up with Carlito.

So does H drop his belt at the next PPV and go after Edge's "Big Gold Belt?"

Another reason why Triple H was moved to Smackdown was to spend more time with Stephanie, who's expecting their second child within the next several weeks. From what I read, since Stephanie spends more time overseeing Smackdown (except for house shows), while Triple H is (or now "was") on Raw, the traveling schedules are different. Counting the house shows (the non-televised performances), the Raw group works Friday to Monday, while the Smackdown group works Saturday to Tuesday, and of course except for rare instances, each group works in different parts of the country.
