Certainly what I say here is just one person's opinion, but I thought with all the discussion about 13/8 being tied for first and Channel 10 being last I would offer my thoughts:
Rochester is a stability=success market. Always has been, always will be. 13 and 8 both have established anchor teams, while 10 does not. While Funke might have been a fixture in sports, people might not be sure what to make of him on the news desk. As far as Jennifer is concerned, I think as many people might tune in to see her, just as many tune out because of her. She has only been in Rochester what, 6 years? In addition, she comes across as an airhead sometimes on the air...not exactly the credibility you need.
Sure 8's lead ins help their 11pm numbers no doubt about it...but you have to give them and 13 credit for keeping anchor teams together. I personally think WHEC's troubles are just beginning.
