Hershey Bears Radio Network

For all of the radio expansion into Lancaster and York just announced, I'm surprised no station in Reading
is picking up the Bears. There are all kinds of hockey nuts with season tickets that drive an hour west
to Hershey. I can't see this crowd listening on HD radio or the internet for away games (but maybe they'll
buy a computer now).

I assume some of the commercial time (except timeouts) will be allowed for local spots? Otherwise, what IS the incentive to carry them (even if it's offered free).

John Walton is reason enough not to pick it up. Screaming like a maniac, he's as bad as Mishkin used to be when the Bear's scored. At least Mishkin was good during normal play and he didn't use that horrible good morning, good afternoon, good night crap.

I disagree......radio needs to be unique in every possible legal way, as opposed to the generic crap voiced in monotone on TV. I don't like the lunatic from Yankees radio broadcast belching "Yankees win.......theeeeeeeeeeeee Yankees win" at the end of their games, but it works. Same for Walton.
