He's ba-a-a-a-a-ck! Arnie Spanier is returning to Phoenix

Starting Monday, he'll be doing AM drive on KDUS 1060 after being let go by Sporting News Radio a couple of weeks ago. KDUS will now be local from 7 AM to 6 PM weekdays.

Link: KDUS

That is great that they are going to have local in the morning. I like Arnie. I would rather see him replace the afternoon show seeing how Roc is the worst sports guy on the radio(except for Doug Franz).

KDUS really needs to get a streaming feed, I won't even get to hear Arnie because I start work at 7:00...Grrr

They might as well have "The Bandwagon" (currently on KAZG) and "Calling All Sports" swap stations as I find the former to be more entertaining and doesn't sound like an infomercial for their sponsors (which is one thing that irks me about CAS). But, given that the two shows both pay for their airtime (please correct me if I'm wrong), I take it that the CAS guys have more money, and therefore they're on the bigger signal/dedicated sports station.

Bring back Lee Hamilton and the KTAR High Speed Sports Wire!!!!

Where's John Moynihan these days? (Now THAT'S Old School).

Hacksaw's got all the work he wants with Sirius XM's MLB Home Plate channel, manning weekend afternoons and filling in weeknights, and writing his twice-weekly SDNN columns.

Good hire by KDUS. I've never been a huge Arnie fan, but he's different. He elicits a response from his listeners, which is more than can be said about the majority of sports talkers in this city.

Plus, it gives KDUS 11 straight hours of local programming. I think The Fan just leapfrogged XTRA into the 2nd spot of sports stations in the Valley.
