HE'S BAAA-AAA-CK Jeff Roper returns to the Palmetto State....

I guess it's permanent. Gator's Facebook page has the morning show listed as "Jeff Roper and Jocelyn". Dingo and Blue - out. This is Roper's second stint at Gator, following his epic two week stint as PD/mornings back in 2008.

I'm sure he will be there for about a year before going back to a larger market. I wonder what the listeners are saying about this? I am pretty sure Dingo and Blue had a HUGE fan base in Myrtle Beach.

I'll give him until the Carolina Panthers are eliminated from playoff contention.

I remember back when he worked for WSOC-FM 103 in Charlotte, but there was some sort of incident or altercation there. Then I believed he moved down to Columbia.

Actually Tyler, he worked in Columbia at LONG before he came back from Charlotte. He was at WCOS. And while he gets dumped on by many people for both warranted and unwarranted reasons, I've never had a problem with him. He's always been gracious, helpful, generous and friendly towards me. I like the guy.

So it seems he's permanent. Listened online some, he has a female sidekick (cue the ominous music sting) named Jocelyn who has a decidedly un-country like voice; and a producer named Adam who, with Jeff, sound almost comically rural. It's an odd combination. Over several extended listens, I can't say this is something I would listen to long-term. is this the same shtick Roper did in other markets?

Who's back, where

What station is Roper on in Myrtle Beach? His morning show partner is Ramona Ryder. It's the Roper & Ryder morning slam, twist, dunk & dive, show. Wowy!

Nash FM's best friend should be Roper and whoever cleaned house to bring him in. Merry Christmas Nash!

I bet those guys at Nash FM were doing a Happy Dance when they cleaned house and brought him in. laugh tracks and old school radio doesn't cut it any longer.

Those crackers look good. I already do buy most of them--at least the whole wheat versions.

Just trying to show I do my part to pay the bills.

While I doubt I'd enjoy Nash's kind of country music, I hope Roper succeeds. Although I was rooting for Boozer--and even listening to him though I had no use for their music--and he added Star 92.1 to his long list of jobs that didn't work out.
