John Cook is back in Philly as PD at Now. One must wonder how he escaped from his Entercom contract in Kansas City. How did the Greater Media senior management corp reconcile the incident which caused his termination from WYSP?

Furthermore, wasn't it Cook who also green-lighted Kidd Chris's attacks on P&S as well as the homophobic tirades about Pierre Robert? Sounds like it might soon be a little "awk-warrrrd!" in the halls of the mighty 93.3.

Yes, it was, and Chris and Cook have a long history together, I was only joking about chris coming back, but it could be exactly what we need here, morning radio is TERRIBLE

John Cook is a solid all around multi format skilled PD. Has has way more experience as a PD of pop music stations. Do not expect any major changes at 97.5. I doubt he would ever make the mistake of highering Kidd Chris's old YSP act again after everything that happened, and it has been proven that the trashy guy talk format executed on WYSP and other failed stations across the country a few years ago does not get PPM ratings. Look for Mr. Cook to do everything he can to continue to make Now 97.5 a solid hot ac...he will make the music and presentation as solid as it can be--and higher the most skilled jocks available to execute the format. As for Mr. Chris, his career would be best served by shifting his talents to mainstream talk, much of the way Mr. Mancow did in Chicago.
