Hey Bakersfield!

According to have three new stations that have been granted "license to cover"...They should be on the air.

KXTT 94.9 Maricopa

KBQF 104.3 McFarland

KEAL 106.5 Taft

Are they on?

KBQF, McFarland is now silent. Looks like they hooked up a computer to feed the transmitter so they could get it on before the CP expired, and after the license was issued, they shut it down.

Exhibit 1
Description: REQUEST FOR SILENT STA

JAB BROADCASTING, LLC ('JAB') HEREBY REQUESTS SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY TO REMAIN SILENT. JAB HAS ENCOUNTERED DIFFICULTIES WITH ITS FINANCING SOURCES THAT HAVE GREATLY REDUCED THE RESOURCES NEEDED TO OPERATE AND STAFF THE STATION ON A FULL TIME SCHEDULE. IN ADDITION, JAB REQUIRES A LIMITED PERIOD OF TIME TO COMPLETE CERTAIN TECHNICAL MODIFICATIONS TO ITS STUDIO TO TRANSMITTER LINK FACILITIES AND ITS MAIN STUDIO FACILITIES. AS REQUIRED BY THE FCC'S RULES, JAB WILL NOTIFY THE COMMISSION WHEN JAB IS READY TO RESUME FULL OPERATIONS.

I do not pick up anything on 106.5 fm so I am not sure what is going on with that frequency.
