Hey! Here's a thought: Maybe The Bone's new morning show will BE Celeste's baby! Ha! I'll agree it's curious that they've announced nothing to this point, but imagine having to find a replacement for Stern. There isn't one. Whatever they come up with will not carry the marquee value that Howard did. It's like replacing Tom Brady with John Kitna. If I were faced with filling that slot you can bet I'd take my time, too.
Of course, Three-fer, you've shown nothing but disdain for most things that are not WBLM, so I don't expect you to agree or understand.
By the way, I've been doing a side by side comparison, and, for my money The Bone's all music mornings sound great, while WBLM's "Captain & Whomever Has A Prize That Can Be Extorted To Be On The Show" thing sounds absolutely small time, uninteresting and cluttered as hell.
Some would say that WBLM was once a great radio station. I disagree. IMHO The Blimp has always been a mediocre station that wasn't exposed until taken to task by a competitor. That said, it's now just a shadow of its former, mediocre self.
Does anyone who has ever had to replace a high profile, major market morning show (Howard was both of those things) care to weigh in on this replacing Stern thing? Anyone from The Bone? From WBLM? Hello? Whoa! Not even an echo. In space no one can here you scream!
