rumors have it kmx handed 96.9/the radio people their asses...with the greatest prank done in dothan in years... possibly ever. KMX went into the sanctity (front offices) of the radio people and stunk it up bad with some stink stuff and AIRED IT! Here's the kicker....Now Jerry and the rest of his babies have gotten together and called their MOM (I mean lawyers) to tattletale! ooooo...poor country DJ got his itsy bitsy feewing hurt....it's okay...here's a bandaid! Can't we all just get along...in the sandbox!Seriously props to KMX for a great stunt!

just found out about the prank it was great, cant wait for all the details.. as for squizzzzyou are with the radio people, if you are correct about superfan and poopibutt, and if you are, i dont mean to hurt your feelings but kelly and squirrel have more talent and personality than anyone at the radio people, i know squirrel from P.C he's a radio god, he can do more formats than anyone i know and make it work for the listeners, his imaging skills and prod are that of the best know, hes worked all over and at every station he has been number #1, makes you wonder why they ( bought ) ...him from nashville he's not cheap, since hes been at styles everything has improved, like you guys havnt noticed!! and i never ever herd any negitive comments from him about anyone, hes a stand up guy, and has friends at the radio people, and as for kelly she is personality with a few more years she'll be in the majors, so you say "yawn" but the two people you talk about nobody can touch in dothan, and thats scares you!!!! im a O.M for clear channel, i only wish i had people like them, we would win always...good day (green with envy) squizzzz stay small... cause they wont.

It's funny being an outsider looking in on all these quotes and bashings.....If I may say, can it be that none of you are talented enough to back up any of your rantings?......Welcome to market 193 folks.....Seems that we all have not made it to the major leagues yet.....at least by way of morning show pranks.Gotta admit though, I thought KMX sent Rev over to their studios, that morning.Would have been interesting to be a fly on the wall.......

First of all I am glad the OM from CC made his comments. Both of my Co-workers are talented and hard working. I worked for CC in B-Ham so when an OM gives a compliment that means your doing a great job. As far as the Radio people go what makes you madder the fact we did what we did or the fact you didn't think of it first. Ocourse there are some good people over there but for the Crybabies ,here is a tissue. Stop crying The Shady Nation

Pranking the competition = low classDoing anything that mentions the competition on the radio = bad radioAnd I work in the building. But I call it like I see it.That's all I have to say about that.

thats 90s consultant thinking:i have 30years in this biz, and thats how radio wars started, what makes it fun= listeners listen and gasp,"did they just do that?"in chicago we would anounce that we are crashing the other stations party, then we would tear down there banners and put up ours, childish but fun, and listeners would help, many more but you get the point...remember brett listeners dont think like us.. ie: oh god dont say their name,or lets pretend we are the only station, listeners know theres more stations and they want to connect and be around ''personality'' the fun guy/girl, jocks forgot how to ENTERTAIN!! scared because a consultant had a idea, think of it like when you called on your neighbors, and ordered 50 pizzas, funny to most, with out this "fun" you become liner jocks,...or should i say became, boreing people have no friends..

Wow, the mods on this board are fast.Anyway, as I was saying.Jocks who have talent put on engaging air shifts that entertain the listener. The rest pull stunts like 13 year olds. Which is fine if your target demo is 13 year olds.

Oh wow,I just realized after my last post that by coming to this board I have been sucked back into that wholeradio thing again. So to fix it and get myself back ont he right track I have to stop posting here.I had to go through a lot to realize how insignificant what people in radio actually do is. Don't get me wrong,I'm not knocking it as a profession or anything, I just know you get sucked into the radio "bubble" where youthink you are more important than you are. You think what you do and say on the air matters WAY more thanit really does. It's a phenomenon that exists in few other lines of work. Actors experience it I guess, maybepeople in bands etc too.Anyway, it's a vacuum that will totally distort your perception about what's good and bad, important and not important.Anyways, best wishes to all you folks. I got to get the heck off this board and out of this frame of mind. It's badfor the soul. The last thing I want to do is turn into Jerry Broadway.

so you have a life like mine, married and no place to go!engaging?... like your show? morning shows are saposed to be wacky..crazy..let me ask you this..are you the guy everyone wants to gravitate towards ? be truthfull cause i know you! and turned you down for a job in the pastare you or have ever been a top rated P.D? with ideasare you sinical? your pears can answer thisand i also noticed you state the obvious in other boards..p.d 101 i call it.i dont want to bash, just improve anyones ability willing to learn, and run "outside the box" people that are fun, have safe jobs and it shows in the ratings, look and most important ..listenand to your 13yr old comment..whos in the car with mom or dad in the am? good job answering your own question...target and safe with no vulgar..wins all the time ( with familys )= $$$$$this is fact ...arguing that would be....well childish like a 13 year old.

I like you. You're entertaining.I'm not discussing radio anymore. And I have been turned down for a radio gigby few people. I think I have only applied for a gig 5 times. 3 of them I washired, so that kind of narrows the choices down.I was in the bathroom one time for 18 minutes. Thats a long time to be in thebathroom. I must be an expert at it.Can you request to have your account deleted on here? I feel the bad karmaof radio discussion overwhelming me even as I type this.

No...Brett's is winner's thinking. The "power pig" thinking won't play in market 193.Although I was amused, as I am sure all "tuned" in broadcast people in this area were, the factis that it was self indulgent "radio insider" entertainment. With an radio audience wonderingwhy so much time was being given to those other stations. That being said, I still hold with my, stated in a previous post, observation that KMX ispotentially dangerous. Along with their new discovered weapon of personality, THEY ARE HAVING FUN!Too bad this market is more than 30 shares Country, or a CHR might just make it to the top.Preem

My favorite thing about you and others on here in your anonimity.Thats a great thing. Especially for faux internet fights ;DI have to clarify something about the talent at KMX. I think those guysare great. I have worked with one of them closely. I have spent manyhours listening to airchecks of the other one.Doesn't mean the ole pranking the other station is brilliant though. We all struggle to find our way. I fault no man or woman for that. Life is a journeyof constant self improvement and discovery.Fight on brave men and women of radio.....fight on.If I attended drinking establishments I would buy you all a drink. Now for real, can I get this account terminated and all my post deleted. I have postedenough now that I almost have convinced myself that I know something about radio, ANDthat I should actually care about it. MODS, help me here.

I'm trying. I really am.Don't take anything I say seriously. I am a guy who does a weekend airshift for fun, thendonates the paycheck to charity. I don't know anything about radio. What's your favorite charity? I'll give my next check to it in your nameFirst one to answer gets it.In the name of zzzz1972 or preem Palvor or stupidginny? What will it beI feel the love and understanding in here, I really do. Nothing better than meeting peoplewho will shoot you straight, tell you who they are, have no ego's....you know, good ole downto earth people like the ones that post here. It's a Hallmark moment really.

The Human Fund! Sorry, couldn't let that Seinfeld moment pass! ;Dhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Human_Fund

Okay, let the stripper shed a little light on this situation, before it gets anymore out of hand than it already has. The Radio People have not contacted an attorney over the "stinking up the office" bit. I heard the bit and personally I thought the office personnell at TRP handled the situation pretty well. And I spoke to some folks at TRP, and they actually thought it was kind of funny. They also appreciated the fact that a competitor spent some 20 minutes during morning drive talking about TRP.I'm sure that the folks at Styles would love it if a lawyer got involved. Why they might even get a little press out of it, but that's not going to happen. Incidentally, I personally agree with BrettMason. It was bad radio.
