Hey, check out 820/The Gamut!

In a thread below we discussed a bit about Frederick's 820 AM... the market... history of the stick... speculated on what-the-hell Hubbard was thinking, et cetera.

But all that aside, it dawned on me to encourage all radio geeks (uh, those of us on this board) to take a listen to this thing while it's doing this "Gamut" format (or "format"). It's really kinda bizarre--playing The Kitchen Sink. So it's kind of funny. And kind of fun.

Logic says it won't be around for all that long. Hubbard will sell the SOB to Salem, or (as one poster suggested) maybe the religious outfit currently running 1450 up in Thurmont... or maybe they'll slap sports on it... or polka... or God knows what.

But right now it's kind of a trip. Chances are that you've never heard anything quite like it on radio. Check it out.
