...can you put in a good word for Dave, now that his KIOL incarceration is over? ;D

In what city? He's cooked here in Houston. Where else can he go at this point? CC won't touch him, Cumulus is obviously over him. There's Cox I suppose. In my opinion he's either going to have to move or get out of the business. He's got a few things that don't work in his favor. His ego (not towards listeners, but to anyone that isn't directly helping him in the building he's in), and his pay. He's been in this market so long and was fortunate enough to get good ratings when the money boom in radio was happening. The downside, he's overpriced himself in this and many other markets. Had he been able to translate his history into this market to ANY numbers whatsoever at KIOL (not that he got any help from the station), it would make someone in the market want him. I just don't see it happening. This isn't even a personal dig on him or anything, but what I would think would factor in to the decision making process any radio station in this market would be using. KIOL made (or should have) everyone aware that history and legendary status mean very little to the majority of listeners. For them, it's what are you doing for me right now. Not what you did for me in the past.
