Ok, we heard this complaint before didn't we?
I was driving through Providence yesterday, and got to hear a real CHR (92-pro fm).
I heard the new Fergie song (Big Girls Don't Cry), Lily Allen, Carrie Underwood, and other stuff Kiss won't touch.
Somebody PLEASE do something to save this station!
Yes, because it's ridiculous. Why won't they play this megahit? Why are they shunning anything rock or pop oriented...why are they playing rhythmic? We don't need 3 damn rhythmic stations in Hartford...and that's pretty much what we've got right now. Kiss 108 and WKSS used to be extremely parallel (which means Carrie would be playing 14 times a day here) and now WKSS seems to play less rock and pop then some rhythmic stations.
It's ridiculous. And sad. And what the hell is the "loud" summer?
In my opinion a Carrie Underwood song is the LEAST of their problems.
Have you been to a kiss 95.7 event lately?
I have and found the DJ's and promo teams to be extremely rude, and "Too hip for the people"...
I watched them snub listener after listener at a concert at the meadows...but, when the Hooters girls walked by the DJ was ALL OVER IT...
Perhaps they are hiring at wccc. I can't imagine the target audience is interested in how sweet the Hooters girl's a$$ looked in the shorts.
Carrie Underwood should send them a thank you note for NOT playing her record....or maybe take a louisville slugger to the kiss van...LOL
Go and listen to 96.5 TIC. Sure their Hot AC but Hot AC these days seems to be more like CHR without the popular hip hop songs on the CHR charts. And TIC is play Carrie Underwood's song.
Seems like some stations can't win. On one side people want stations to be programmed to the local audience, and the other side complains when the same station doesn't do what every other station in the country is doing.
Last time I was up their during Christmas time I had on 96.5 TIC and i got them fine but had some static. They need to move their stick or something. But I think they just got a new one thats why theirs static. How about moving TIC to 95.7 on the dial lol. And call it 95.7 TIC, that name sounds like crap and I would miss the 96.5 TIC name.
I got 96.5 TIC on the internet and they sound great.
