Hey, look What I've found on YouTube...

(This is for you Major)

A quick snip of JJ Walker at Y100 from around 1989 doing a promo for the syndicated "Smash Hits" TV show.

And a clip of "Smash Hits" (hosted by Scott Shannon).

(For those that are too young to remember, JJ Walker was the night jock at Y100 from 1988 to around 1990. He came to Y100 from Z100/NY. JJ went on to KDWB/Minneapolis-St. Paul, under the name Spyder Harrison. Today, he runs his own production company.)

GOOD STUFF & GOOD MUSIC & VIDEOS !

I certainly do remember J.J. Walker at night on Y-100 during the very very late-1980s. I'm the one that added him to the list of former Y-100 deejays on the Wikipedia entry. He was a pretty cool deejay. I called him a lot back then to request songs and generally annoy him ! ;)

I also taped and watched every single weekly episode of Scott Shannon's "Smash Hits". I even wrote down all of the hits every week as he counted them down.

THANKS for the 1989 to 1990 MASSIVE Memories Robyn. I appreciate it !

Spyder has also been doing stints at Big in the last couple years, though I don't know whether he's been on recently.

JJ...Spyder...Has left the building months ago. He is one of the few I keep in touch with & he told me that CC didn't pay squat, as well as he voiced tracked the 7-Midnight shift. He has his own voice over company and does quite well with it.

hey stuart, you should do something like that...upload some old 96x promos on vhs...that is if you have any :)
