Hey Radioelizabeth

You're keepin' me busy, Cliff. :D

As we explain later in the comments on that item (and allude to in the item itself) - a For Sale WFHM doesn't make a lot of sense to us, for the reasons given. It was just "something we'd heard" was floating around the market.

It might mean something to note that we have received no solid information on it since we posted it last night.

OMW,

I thought since this board contined a couple of ex-Cleveland Fish personalities, and other Salem employees, I would throw it out here. If you check the other topic I posted here about Dave Ramsey, you might read between the lines of a post by Todd Stach, and see your observations weren't that far off.

By the way...those were simply my personal observations - I don't know anything about 95.5 being up for sale. Maybe all of the hype is really about Salem's WKNR going up for sale from www.ohiomediawatch.com? I sure hope that Fish Cleveland isn't sold. It's a great station with a great staff serving NE Ohio.

My eyes are bugging out about all the back and forth references to people who are here. :D

Thanks for the mini-plug, Todd...unfortunately, the OMW Petty Cash fund is at about zero and holding, so we haven't been able to register the ohiomediawatch.com domain.

OMW is found, as always, at:

ohiomedia.blogspot.com

"unfortunately, the OMW Petty Cash fund is at about zero and holding"

Rats- I was going to ask for a commission for all the potential traffic I've sent your way the past couple of days ;D

Funny you should mention that...

I have considered at very least signing up for the Google ad program. It appears to be fairly simple, and hopefully non-obtrusive.

We would not implement that without putting it up to the readership, first. I don't think that would bring in more than a couple or three bucks, so I'm not going to do it if it upsets the readership.

Good luck getting subscriptions! But IMHO, it beats the snot out of annoying pop-ups (anyone @ HisAir.net reading this?). :D

May my little career someday warrant the "honor" of a thread named after me.

Agree or disagree, I (and I suspect countless silent others) appreciate your experience, professionalism, use of reasoning over opinion, unflappability, and most importantly, your walk. If I ever get my act in gear and get a website up, I may use a lot of inspiration from yours. Peace. 8)

Let me clarify quickly, here...

OMW will never, ever, ever, ever, ever go to a subscription format. (There, I've just painted myself into a corner here. There is a chance I could change my mind, but it is likely a very tiny chance.)

Though our financial situation is somewhat dire at this point, we don't do OMW for the money. We may or may not add Google ads or other banner ads, but WILL NOT go subscriptions.

One big reason we will not go all subscription - we have a decent readership, but really, the Northeast Ohio media market is not large enough for it to overcome the hassle for us.

"I just woke up from a nap when I typed that...hehe"

You weren't on the air while you were taking the nap, were you ;)

Ha! Be careful what you want...not all threads feel that honorable at times. ;)

Thank you very very much.

Regarding the site, I credit my designers and the amazing team at Eight Media. www.eightmedia.com
