Hey, Robo DJ....

The system at 3WS jumped the track and Pittsburgh's Official Holiday Music Station kicked off the 5 a.m. hour with the Eagles' "Best of My Love," Wilson Pickett's "Mustang Sally," "Rockin' Pneumonia" by Johnny Rivers in advance of the paid infomercial for colon cleansing.

Sounding good, CC.

My wife loves the Christmas tunes. I ax'd her which station she prefered, the answer WSHH , she says she likes hearing local announcers even on the weekend. Wow, that from an RN who's only broadcast knowledge is from the dribble I bring up at the dinner table.

You ax'd your wife? Think the Globe or the Enquirer will cover that?

Hilarious. However, according to Yes.com, WWSW actually played Elton John's "Step Into Christmas" at 5:05 AM. Is it possible this secular music set followed that song, and preceded what appeared to be at least 2 1/2 hours of infomercials (no song log for the 6 AM or 7 AM hours on Sunday)?

One of the Sunday public affairs shows on 970 also had the audio from 94.5 underneath. Two shows for the price of one! I'm guessing no one was home.

like back in the day when Rocky 103 would have their RoboDJ run a recorded newscast at 2 A.M.
"Good Afternoon, it's 83 degrees in Steubenville..."

To be fair, I did once hear WKBN in Youngstown play Paul Simon's "Kodachrome" four times in an hour.
They weren't automated, but were out on a remote someplace (guess the intern forgot to bring any other
records...)
