Hey Rodney Ho! More press from 680

I think that there may be some truth to your anti-680 biased coverage! (wink, wink)You got mentioned by name by 2 callers on the B&K show yesterday afternoon. One of the callers must read this board! (So step forward if it was you out there!)
The first caller was congratulating Kincade on his new contract with 680 and his ESPN Radio national work. The caller asked him why his ESPN work gets no mention in the AJC at all. Kincade told them to call the AJC and ask Rodney Ho why a local radio host doing nationally syndicated work is not news. He did say that he thinks you do a good job, but said "I guess being on ESPN Radio in prime time is not as good as being on TV at 1:30 in the morning". The caller responded that Rodney writes things about Ferrall who has not been in this market for 5 years and is filling in on a graveyard shift this weekend. Kincade said to listen to him during prime time and then listen to Ferrall. (Guess somebody on here is reading this board!)
The next caller said that Kincade better get some Palm gift certificates if he wants better coverage. It seemed to be all in good fun.
You seem to be getting a lot of press! Keep up the good work!

My problem with this is that Rodney should NOT be getting press at all. His job is to cover the news, not become it.

Hey Buck and Kincaid: you draw a total of 76 listeners with your weak a-- signal and your cornball style of radio. If you had the ratings of a Scott Slade then your antics might warrant ink.

As for top rated guys, how come we never read anything about Scott Slade? It's always David Paul, Scott Ferrell or Ludlow Porch. It seems to me that the most listened to air talent in the market deserves some recognition. What does he have to do, get popped on 285 with a dime bag?

Buck is Great

I think Buck is great, who else could turn a lackluster football career of handing the ball to Herschel Walker (again and again) and completing 1 pass to Lindsay Scott into afternoon co-host on a low power radio station and fill in work on ESPN! This is the land of opportunity!!

I don't know about you,but I can get 680's signal anywhere from Gainesville to Athens and Monroe very well all day long. As for Scott Slade, he is as dry as the Oklahoma Dust Bowl. Even WDUN's Joel Williams has more energy & enthusiasm than "beam me up" Scott Slade.

Weak? Is your radio 20 years old? Like most, their signal is fine all the way up to Gainesville and Cartersville on the other side.

Most listened to? Are you just counting people inside the perimeter and southside? B&K is one of the most popular shows and I am shocked at how many women listen to their show.
______________
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day
