Hey "Smooth Jazz" fans, check this out

With respect to what happened in Indy, the change of smooth jazz to CHR makes a lot of sense. CHR got double the ratings smooth jazz did. I think what irritates people about the Oasis going away is not just that it was a heritage station but what replaced it. Movin' just doesn't work particularly well. If KZEW were to replace it, you would have far fewer complaints, at least on this board.

Kent, you may be on to something. Heck, I would never complain about the loss of Smooth Jazz (outside the fact my bank account went reeling for a few months) if KNTU had a better piece of air reception. Oy!

I still get my weekly fix from KOOI Sunday mornings, they expanded their show by another hour recently. Sometimes I have a bit of a problem with KTLS interference - but usually they are solid all over Plano.

What is KOOI's freq? When does this program run? Would I have any problems picking up their signal in the Addison/North Dallas area?

At the pool this morning I was listening to The Wave/Houston (Maxine Todd is still doing a great job!) This eve I was blasting KIFM San Diego...#1... How can we get SJ back in FW/D?????????? 8)

106.5. Sunday mornings 8 AM to 1 PM. I have no problems getting them in Plano, except for interference from a 106.5 from Oklahoma that is a rock station doing the rim shot thing into the OKC market.

As for whether you can get them, if you have a decent tuner such as the Sangean HDT-1X, or a Pioneer supertuner car radio, you should have no trouble at all with first adjacent 106.7. Or if you know how to do the narrow ceramic filter modification to a regular tuner / car radio you can hear them. They put a really good signal over the area, but 106.7 is a first adjacent a major trouble for most people trying to hear it.
