IN the recent 'Truck Bomb" story concerning the arrest in Dallas of a Jordanian who the FBI arrested. The Term 'WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION"was defined by the Last Bush Administration as NUCLEAR and was widely accepted as such. The truck bomb WAS NOT a "WMD".
Embellishment is the downfall of journalism. They practice that at FOX. C'mon WFAA get back to doing journalism not drama.

If OKC's news media considered the OKC bombing a WMD then Dallas should be a WMD!! An ANNFO bomb iis not a firework, it's a freakin WMD!!!!!!!!

Thunderradio is trying to make a political point. Unfortunately he's got his facts wrong about this particular case.
The term WMD pre-dates the Bush administration. It has been used to classify any weapon that is designed to destroy large things or inflict mass casualties. A handgun is not a WMD. A hand grenade is not likely a WMD. A pipe bomb might be. A truck bomb definitely is. WFAA, AP, etc were just stating the facts of the case.

While he may be wrong about this particular point, in general he is not alone in lamenting the sorry state of what passes for journalism these days.
