HGTV HHI Color

This is so strange I just have to post it.

HGTV - House Hunters International. When they go to the location (wherever it happens to be) the color shifts from normal to a heavy purplish hue (Magenta, Cyan?). This has been the case for as long as my wife has been watching. All other programs are normal and opening is normal. Is there a reason for this or is it bound up in the video editing. Should be no reason for this unless they are doing it deliberately for some reason.

Considering that cable does not use ATSC, no, it could not be conversion from DVB-T to ATSC.

I have never noticed this feature on House Hunters International.

yeah, TV shows filmed away from the US from a foreign country will most of the time have a different broadcast/filming standard then we are a custom to.

when ever WWE goes to Europe and tapes the TV shows in the UK during their annual Spring and Fall European tours, they use cameras and video technology that is accustom to the UK and do to it, the colors looked a little different then they do with the normal US TV cameras/video standard due to it.

I've seen the programs. It's a special effect which (for some reason) they think, looks good.
I find it annoying.
