HHB Flash Mics - any opinions?

I've loved the idea of these mics since they first came out, and now I have a client who's interested in some for field reporters. Anyone here have or used any? Love to hear your opinions.

I field-tested one a few years back, right after they were introduced. Neat product. The sound quality is excellent, and they're very intuitive to use.

At the time, the biggest flaw was that there was no way to record from a line input, which would have been deadly for a field reporter covering any event with a mult box in use. That's been fixed now - there's a newer model that has a 1/8" jack on the end for line in. Still no easy way to handle the issue of marking down track times while recording when the mic/recorder is on the podium and the reporter is in the audience.

The other issue is price - it seemed quite expensive back then, and still seems so now.

Save your $$$ and get a Zoom H-2. Excellent quality even with the built-in mics and you can get 5 of them for the cost of one HHB.

Thanks, guys. After comparisons with the client, he decided to go with the Zoom. Function triumphs over form! ::) at least this time ;D
