Hi 95.7 Bob FM

The Tri-Cities market has welcomed it own Variety Hits station. New Northwest Broadcasters has switched its Oldies station Big Oldies 95.7 KNLT FM (Walla Walla, Tri-Cities) to 95.7 BOB FM this morning. The station is calling it self 95.7 Bob FM 80's, 90's and whatever.

I only had a minute to listen to this station due to me being in the valley.

There current website is http://www.knlt.com but it does not have anything on it about the switch.

No more 50's and 60' oldies for the Tri-Cities Market. 97.5 Kool Fm from Tri-Cities is about a close as you can get now. They are Super Hits 97.5 Kool FM (KOLW FM), Owned by Clear Channel.

Is 100.9 Cherry FM KARY FM (Yakima) next to be switched or are they BOB FM already...

PS: How bad is this going to hurt Clear Channels Hot AC station 98.3 The Key (KEYW)? Great station, but they need to add more songs to there playlist. Usually in the top 5 in the ratings.

If the new Tri-Cities Bob on the Knob is anything as bad as Spokane's Bob is then I really really really feel bad for you all.

I had a chance to listen on Saturday for a little while.
The station is big on Hot AC music from the 80's, 90's
and today. I was still switching thru the channels to
find a good song.

The concept is kind of weird, the DJ's are not the thing
that bothers me, it is all the commericals. A station
like BOB FM with DJ's might make the station a little
more fun to listen to.
