Musicologist BUD BUSCHARDT is the scheduled in-studio guest of the Hi-Fi Club this Sunday night! We'll reprise Bud's original tribute to "The Day The Music Died" as he played it on his "57 Nostalgia Place" on WFAA-AM in 1974! We'll talk some serious Buddy Holly, Big Bopper and Richie Valens, so tune in KMNY-1360AM Sunday night, 6-9PM CST, or use the live streaming at www.thehificlub.net.

BTW, those interested in hearing or recording Part Two of the "Lost JFK Tapes of KXOL-1360"...we won't have time to play that this week...we might do that on Super Bowl Sunday instead, so stay tuned for details!

Thanks, Philip! Four hours was kind of a marathon, but great to spend that much time with a classy guy like Bud. He's got such an incredible knowledge of music and radio.

That was apparently our last three-hour show (well, 4 hours in this case) and I'm pondering pulling the plug at this point. A one-hour show going forth is just not enough time to cover it all, and without sponsorship $$$ coming in, the guys all incur considerable expense (time AND money) to do this week in and week out...and tough to sell to the group on just doing one hour. I'll keep you posted on what's decided. At the outset, I doubt we'll do a show at all next Sunday, with the Super Bowl on and all.

Now I am open to suggestions...this isn't just a gab-fest between people for the hell of it; if there's something we're not doing or should be doing, I'd like to know. If the show continues in a one-hour format, what would make you tune in each week? I really need us to pull in more than the estimated 120 people that listened to the stream last night. I could have had Bud and Ray over to the house for casual conversation and sprung for beer and food and come out cheaper! ;D
