Recently a friend of mine threw my name at Google and ended up sending me my aircheck file posted here. That led me to Radio-Info.com. I read the post, found I could sign on for free, and decided to write a quick Hello!

I can't recognize many folks from your handles..., except Chuck Foster. Hi, Chuck! Hope things are well up North! Chuck and I had a mutual friend in Charlie Edwards, God rest his soul.

When I left "The Business"..., I really left! My life went in a totally different direction. As a matter of fact, I'm getting ready to celebrate my 25th anniversary with my employer this year.

I saw that someone thought I went on to become a physician. I did make an attempt to do so, but it didn't work out.

I've really enjoyed reading through the posts and remembering the Good Ole Days! It was a great time, with Wiggy the Dog..., and Fantasy Day Parades..., and shooting hoops for charities..., and all the other crazy things I did with Steve Rogers, Jack O'Brien, Tony Jackson, Sharon, Chuck Bullitt, Bob Anderson, The Weather Elf and Santa, C Mack, Scott Robbins..., and all those I can't remember right now. There certainly are times when I really miss it all...

Thanks for all the kind words. I'll look in again. Would love to hear what is going on with all those who made the 70s and 80s Maine radio great!

Willie

Hey, Willie, good to see you posting! Worked with you briefly at WIGY under the handle of Roscoe Stanley. You're one of my all-time fave guys to listen to on the radio, and with Steve Rogers, were part of the best AM-PM drive time duo in Maine radio history (IMHO). Hope all is well, and God bless. :)

Hey Willie!
Good to see your post. 25 years in something other than the "Biz"? Well, I'm guessing its something you enjoy and are good at. I always figured you would end up as a doctor, but things happen.

I will forever remember you and that old Plymouth that NEVER had an oil change and just kept going. The Lucky 13 Beach Patrol, Timmy Donahue, Sebastian, Frank, The Giant and everyone on Warren Avenue. Good times!

Of course a lot of people have gone now. I managed to stay in touch with and had a chance to work with Charlie a couple more times not long before the accident. That was such a shock. Brian McGarry and Bob Anderson are a couple others that are missed.

And you are correct sir, there was a lot of great radio in Maine in the 70s and 80s!

Chuck

Willie. Good to hear you're still fogging a mirror. Which was the late Bob Anderson's only criteria for someone to pull weekend duty at IGY. "If they can fog a mirror, they can be on the air." I guess he got the last laugh by tipping over with the mic on!!!

Be well.

Hey! RSKas!

Good Old Bob! He was great! He must have been; I think he worked every station in Maine..., one time or another! I worked with him at WLOB and WIGY. But I listened to him everywhere!

Did we ever work together? I can't recognize your handle. Are you still in the "BIZ"?

Take Care! God Bless!

Willie

Hiya, Willie:

I don't peruse the boards very often anymore but today is different. Glad to hear you're alive and doing well. Also glad to hear that you have a successful career outside of radio as do I. As has been said previously, Maine had a lot of great radio in the 70s and 80s but you wouldn't know it when you listen to Maine radio today. Sad.

Be well.

BC - you old dog! From radio to car dealerships - you generated some funny stories in the L-A area and beyond back in the day! Hope you're well - same with you Willie!
