..and hello from Long Island.
We've had a couple of excellent tropo days here, with WMAS-FM 94.7 a regular. WHYN (93.1) gets some splatter from WEHM and WAQY (102.1)is a frequent catch here in Riverhead during summer months. I worked at WMAS in the late 80's and I remember getting 101.7 from Southold (WBAZ at the time) in my apartment.
What we've been getting these past few days has been WHOM 94.9 from Mt Washington like a local, day and night! On Tuesday, the best day, I received the following on my Grundig YB-400PE and YB-550PE the follow, clearly
WHOM 94.9 Mt Washington
WBLM 102.9 Portland, ME (100K wipes DRC off the map!)
WFNK 107.5 Portland (Frank-FM)
WMGX 93.1 Portland (some splatter from 92.9, but clear at 93.15)
WCYY 94.3 Biddeford, ME
WJBQ 97.9 Portland, ME
plus (like locals)
WHJY 94.1 Providence
WCTK 98.1 Bedford, MA
WSNE 93.3 Taunton, MA
and in an odd twist of direction
WGNE 107.7 Albany, NY (some interference from WWRX Pawtucket, CT and splatter from WEBE 107.9)
Too bad it's going to disappear over the weekend, but it looks to come back mid-week.
