High power Part 15 for a day

Got em! Glad to see the rotor still works up there.

But got to go off to work. Got a CD rolling.
.

EDIT///// GRRRRRrrr NOt them... some strange intermod to WXRT.

Still nothing on stream or on air.....I have a "neighbor" who puts Old-Time Radio crime dramas on the air
24/7 on 89.9. That's all I'm gettin' get about 3 miles from the announced site.

I guess I need to go buy some records. And see the fun. ;D

so.....put out a press release saying that you are going to break the law,
and then go ahead and do it.

It's the Chicago Way, I guess

"Because of the large radius, they will be using a transmitter larger than the legally permitted Part 15 transmitter, putting them well into "pirate" territory... at least for the day. The station goes live on the airwaves at 9:00pm tonight."

If it was one of us, we'd get busted.. ???

I did go to the pop-up store and got a bunch of 45s I lacked.
A friend from work came by and picked me up in a VW Jetta with a broken radio, so I have no idea what their signal was like. :'(
Not a whiff of it at all here at my place 4 miles away, even with the big Winegard yagi turned to the SSE.

Really happy about the records though. If I hadn't been wilting due to being up for 20 hours, I would have stayed longer.
The midnight shift going into that morning had been grueling, with lots of up-n-down the stairs action.
