high school football radio dxing

That time of year again! Friday nights starting around sunset should be a lot of good HSFB DX to look for on the regional frequencies.

Many AM stations operate on "High School Football Power" under an STA "Sports Temporary Authority" on Friday nights in the fall. They stay on day power and daytimers blast away into the night. The FCC does nothing. It's a great way for us AM DXers to log stations we would otherwise never hear.
